North American Electric Reliability Corporation is a non-profit body that is mandated to ensure that the North American bulk power system is consistent, secure and adequate. NERC enforces and develop reliability standards and assesses yearly the long term and seasonal consistency and observe the electric system using system awareness.
It also trains, educates and endorses industry workers. NERC is responsible for areas such as Mexico, Canada, United States and the Northern Baja California. NERC attends to over 330 million people. The owners, users and operators of bulk electric system are the entities that operate under the power of NERC.
NERC security Critical Infrastructure is intended to accurately be able to detect security threats, develop procedures and policies to discourse the threats, and offer training activities to operators and owners.
