Nerc Guidelines

The operations of the generation protection during U.S. east coast shutdown on the August 14, 2008 highlighted the necessity for better coordination as well as function of a generator protection that has generator capability. NERC guidelines helped in the control and the transmission system protection. This also helped in ensuring that the security of systems is enhanced to greater heights. Many people could also get better services since their computer securities were much better than before.
NERC guidelines also provide a practical guidance in the implementation of NERC-proposed guidelines as outlined. This setting generator protection has the ability to coordinate any transmission protection. At the end of the day, it address the security issues of generator protection issues which concerns the NERC that would result to low system voltages and relay settings that restricts generator ability under conditions of emergency system. This will help in coordination of the generator protection together with infrastructure and security control.
