NERC Glossary

With an NERC Glossary it becomes quite easy to determine what the meanings are of the words contained in a report or other document being written about the electricity industry. The NERC Glossary can be an invaluable tool to someone who is working in the electrical industry at just about any level. The failure to use proper terminology can actually result in adverse consequences, since these reports are often used to attest to the current status of an electrical system.

A document written for the electrical industry that does not feature the proper terminology or word usage can be a very bad idea. Terms like “base load” or “balancing authority area” need to be employed when reports are made, otherwise the report could come off as unprofessional. Ensuring that the evaluation or summary being done is both accurate and professional, because otherwise improper procedures could end up being implemented on a given system or project.
