Cip Planning

CIP planning is done to protect the region’s critical infrastructure; it is used as a tool for decision-making for sharing the information tool and allocating the resources for the infrastructure’s operators or owners. The operators and the owners carry the activities of risk management routinely; they also invest in the protective measures for the business function. The CIP planning is also done to help the above activities in to a language and common frame work which allow the community of the entire critical infrastructure protection to understand the inter dependencies between two or more sectors and to share the information; collaborative approach is encouraged by the CIPP for implementing and developing the smart protective measures.

CIP planning is done by each agency and department of the federal government to protect their portion of critical infrastructure by the federal government and for planning their own CIP plan. The plans of the agency and department of the federal government are gathered to create one National Infrastructure Assurance Plan.
