Cip Compliance

Critical Infrastructure Protection is basically a concept which is required and associated with the preparation which is taken when there is any kind of serious incident related to the infrastructure of a country or a specific region. The CIP was created in the year 1998 in May by the American Presidential Directive.
Similar programs are also present in other places. There are private industries which are associated with the CIP compliance which work as a whole to take care of situations when required.
For example, if there is a computer virus which suddenly surges into the network of a gas factory, threatening to disrupt the region, CIP comes forward. The work is to handle situations in large scale cyber attacks, rebuilding the infrastructure and system and providing further protection after any attack.
The NAERC or the North American Electric Reliability Corporation is a company which handles and promotes the overall electrical utility and power transmission as a whole. It’s situated in Atlanta. It works with all stakeholders who are concerned with power industry and is also associated with the CIP compliance.
